The Ashford Arts Council did it again, attracting a fantastic turn-out to the annual Summer’s Palette arts festival at Westford Hill Distillers on June 28th. It was cold and dreary at the beginning of the day, but the artists, poets, performers, and attendees braved the dubious weather to experience another exciting and fun day, filled with art, poetry, music and conversation.
We were pleased to be invited to host a table at the event again this year. As usual, we had free seeds, note cards, buttons, stickers, and informational handouts available. Jennifer set up a Bucket of Doom, demonstrating Doug Tallamy’s recommended solution for ridding our outdoor spaces of pesky mosquitos. And we had plants! We gave away over 100 native plant seedlings, destined for Ashford homes and gardens, joining the growing pollinator pathway across our city and state.
We met and chatted with so many wonderful people. Thank-you to those of you who were able to attend, and for those of you who weren’t able to make it, we hope to see you next year!
